'The Worst Planet On Earth' The Quirky Sci-Fi Comedy Short By Executive Producer Sami Raimi & Debbie Liebling
The Worst Planet On Earth is a quirky, sci-fi comedy short film from new British filmmakers Joe and Lloyd Stas, and executive produced by Sam Raimi (Spider-Man trilogy) and Debbie Liebling (South Park, Dodgeball).
The short follows Penny (Olivia Newton), an astronaut who is trapped on earth in the distant future after all of humanity has gone extinct.
With only an inept wizard named Cola (Michael Muyunda) as her companion, Penny goes on a quest filled with zany misadventure as she attempts to find a way back to her time.
The Worst Planet On Earth is a lighthearted farce which is spiritual kin to the comedy surrealism of Monty Python. It also serves as a madcap alternative to the profusion of dystopian and post-apocalyptic narratives popular in the genre.

If you need a break from all the dismal post-apocalyptic-dystopian dramas, take an excursion to The Worst Planet On Earth.
