In The Sci-Fi Short Film 'Sky Fighter' A Starship Pilot With Amnesia Can Not Discern Friend From Foe
In the sci-fi short film Sky Fighter, it is the 26th century and cybernetically-enhanced humans are waging war against hostile aliens.
One pilot, John (Tom Maden) awakens aboard his spaceship suffering from amnesia. His co-pilot, Mo (Jess Gabor), desperately attempts to help him regain his memory as they are beset by alien ships.
However, John’s cybernetic implant has been hacked… and all evidence points to Mo being the culprit.
Is she his closest ally whose aim is to help him recover his memory to ensure their survival, or is she an alien plant with a secret and deadly agenda?
Written and directed by filmmaker Lukas Kendall, Sky Fighter stands out among typical space operas by crafting an intimate tale exploring one of the most crucial weapons needed to win a war: solid-as-stone trust among allies.
Kendall constructs a swirling mystery with constant plot shifts and twists. As a viewer, you join John in his quest for the truth, while not knowing if his memories —or Mo’s claims-are reliable.
The truth about John’s memories and Mo’s identity does not reveal itself until the nail-biting conclusion.
