In The Eerie Sci-Fi Short 'DECOMMISSIONED' A Space Anomaly Is Headed On A Collision Course With The International Space Station
The atmospheric sci-fi short DECOMMISSIONED is set aboard the International Space Station (ISS). While on monitor duty while the rest of his crew is sleeping, Commander Diaz (Joey Vieira) is conducting a routine communications check-in with ground control. He is also enjoying the spectacular view of the earth from space.
Suddenly, Commander Diaz spots what he thinks is a bit of space debris headed on a collision course with the station. He alerts ground control who informs him nothing is showing on their readings.
As the debris gets within visual range, the commander is shocked by what he sees. But what he can not know is his encounter with this anomaly will alter his life forever.

Directed by Australian filmmaker Josh Tanner, DECOMMISSIONED’s unnerving story is complemented by cinema-level visual effects (watch for the astronauts camera!) and the meticulous replication of the real ISS.
Tanner has produced another visually stunning and affecting speculative short film. Like his last exceptional outing, the Vietnam War-era ghost story short Wandering Soul, Tanner uses his uncanny ability to interrogate past historical events - along with his ardent attention to detail - to spin speculative narratives that mine uncommon depths of the human experience.
Another triumph for Tanner and crew, DECOMMISSIONED is a gorgeous, cinematic, and spine-chilling short film illuminating the beautiful and foreboding vagaries of space.
